This is the two-year-old girl who died after swallowing a button battery. Doctors discovered the battery from an LED light remote lodged inside Harper Lee Fanthorpe’s body. They said it had burned through her oesophagus and a main artery. Despite the best efforts of surgeons at Royal Stoke University Hospital, the toddler could not be saved.
