This is class 37 locomotive D6732 (37032) which was built in 1962. It has been restored to a state similar to how it looked when first built. It has the split head code box, and also the ‘nose doors’ which the early diesel locomotives often had. The idea was that when two locomotives were working connected as a pair then the train crew could move between the two locomotives, via those nose doors.
