We were starstruck by our recent encounter with CASPER, the famous albino Risso’s Dolphin! This animal is pure white, a total rarity in the cetacean world. Casper is almost exclusively associated with Monterey Bay, where he’s seen dozens of times each year. We encountered Casper at Santa Rosa Island, where he’s been reported seen just once or twice before. You just never know when a trip might turn up a bucket list sighting!
