Let’s debunk another fake science experiment! This time we’ll be looking at whether Vitamin C can turn coke transparent. In viral videos, it appears this is true, but this is a lie! They’ve swapped out the coke for iodine water, which is a similar colour to coke. To make Iodine water, you need to add about 1 tbsp of Iodine to half a litre of water. When you add half of a tsp of vitamin c, it splits the Iodine molecules into colourless ions resulting in the brown liquid changing into a clear one!
